About Betty Moni

Born twice in Arkansas, Betty was born first into a preacher’s family, and she was always singing, until she fell seriously ill at the age of five.  The doctors gave up, and released her from the hospital — they sent her home to die!  But God had other plans…though Betty was sick so long she even had to learn how to walk all over again, God healed her completely.

At the age of eight, Betty accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior — she was born again, this time into the family of God.  A year later she accepted God’s call on her life; however, many years passed before she really knew what that call meant, when she finally came to a place of sheer desperation.  Sick of her failures and her own inability to live up to the “Super Christian” image she had tried so hard to reach, Betty was ready to give up on life.  This time she wanted to die!

But God heard her cries–He lifted her up, out of the horrible pit and out of the miry clay — He set her feet upon The Rock, He put a new song in her mouth (Psalm 40:1-3), and that new song is still going on…

Over the years, God has given Betty many opportunities to share that new song–through recordings, publications, concert presentations, and through her “Butterfly Life In A Caterpillar World” womens’ conferences and retreats.  She has also had her own radio program, “Joy In The Morning.”

Betty is a published author and composer of books, music, and poetry, as well as monthly letters of encouragement.  One of Betty’s books, “Butterfly Life in a Caterpillar World,” is also the title and theme of her unique women’s conferences and retreats.  She has recorded 13 music CDs; her music can also be heard on BBN (Bible Broadcasting Network).  Her music may also be purchased through this website through PayPal, or an order blank may be downloaded to purchase by mail.

Betty’s home is with her husband in San Antonio, Texas, but her field of ministry is far and wide–all across the United States and around the world–in all types of settings, large and small (and everything in between).  Her greatest desire is to keep on sharing the love of Jesus, singing and speaking His praises…however, whenever, and wherever He leads.

About The Ministry

From the very beginning of Sacred Music, Inc./Betty Moni Ministries, our desire and purpose has always been to share the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ; and God has given us more than 1,800 worldwide live presentations of music, Scripture, and testimony.  Wherever He has opened a door, whether in Alaska, India, Romania, Brazil, the Australian Outback, Africa, Norway, Japan, Italy, many other overseas locations, and just about every state in the U.S., including right here at home, the message has always been (and still is), the same:

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16   “Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12   “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

Some of God’s open doors have been very unusual and far from easy, but all treasured in our ministry history—some of these “doors” are shared in Betty’s book, “Butterfly Life In A Caterpillar World.”  But whether in a park in China, a prison in Oregon or Alabama or Guam, Military Chapels in Germany and Spain, a church in Australia, a boat in a Hawaiian Harbor, through our books and CD’s, through our music played on BBN Radio–even through our monthly letters of encouragement, we have been blessed with hundreds of opportunities of ministry.

Our desire and purpose have not changed—you could even say it is our mission statement:

“Joy…and peace…the longing of every heart!  The world can lend us temporary thrills, but only Jesus can give us lasting joy and peace.  It’s my desire to share this message of hope throughout the world.  It is my prayer that the Lord will so sing, speak, and write through me that many will come to know Him as their personal Savior, and believers everywhere will find a new and intimate walk with Him.”
